Taste of Melbourne: The World Loves Melbourne with Sat Bains
Electrolux is creating an intimate Chef’s Table at Taste of Melbourne with The World Loves Melbourne on Sunday November 15 1.50pm to 2.40pm – win 2 tickets (see our Instagram account @theworldlovesmelbourne for details) to experience a cooking demonstration with legendary Sat Bains (Sat Bains Restaurant, UK) then be served the dish that chef has prepared over a glass of wine and chat with the chef.
Chef Sat Bains is a Brrit and with his wife Amanda are the proprietors of Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms in Nottingham. He is one of the top chefs in Europe and known throughout the world. The World Loves Melbourne has been an admirer of Sat and his style of cooking for some years.
Sat Bains has been recognised by fellow chefs and food writers from all over the world for his innovative style of cuisine. In 1999, he won the acclaimed Roux Scholarship and in 2002, opened Restaurant Sat Bains and was awarded a Michelin star the following year.
In the past decade, the restaurant has garnered two Michelin stars, the ultimate 5 Rosettes from the AA and 9 out of 10 in the Good Food Guide.
Proud of his Midlands roots, Sat has long championed the use of quality local produce on his menus. He has appeared at congresses in Europe, the US, SE Asia, Japan and Australia demonstrating his dishes and ensuring the place of Britain’s East Midlands on the international gastronomic stage.
