Electronic bar and restaurant, Glamorama launches in Fitzroy
by Tabitha Russell
The World Loves Melbourne was invited along to celebrate the launch of Fitzroy's newest bar and restaurant addition, Glamorama last night. Nestled on Brunswick Street, the all night electronic party venue officially opens today.
Brought to Melbourne from the team behind renowned South Yarra bar Less Than Zero, Glamorama will be open until 3am on weekdays and 5am on weekends.
The extensive drinks menu features the largest range of Australian whiskies alongside a creative cocktail list including Bring Back Savage Garden (Hendricks, cranberry juice, cucumber, basil, celery shrub bitters and soda); and Monkey Garden (Cargo Cult, banana liquor, espresso, choc bitters, sugar syrup).
Head chef Shaun Hansen (previously at Sweetwater Inn) has created an innovative late night menu featuring highlights of 'Botox Pies', 'Phat Sausage Rolls' with sauce filled syringes, and 'Fake Wings' vegan chicken wings with a bbq glaze. Followed by sweet treats of 'Lamington Fried Ice-cream' and a 'Tim Tam Trifle'.
We feel it's definitely the ultimate place to settle down until the early hours in Fitzroy, either in one of their booths or out in the courtyard, listening to their world class Funktion-One surround sound system and sipping on a Bakery Hill whisky.
Thanks again to the Glamorama team and Zilla and Brook for a fantastic evening!
