THE RETURN OF THE ANNUAL APOLLO BAY SEAFOOD FESTIVAL
Apollo Bay- the premier seafood destination of The Great Ocean Road- will play host to the fifth annual Apollo Bay Seafood Festival- to be held on Saturday 20 February 2016 from 10:00am till 9:00pm- at Victoria’s very own ‘Paradise by the Sea.’ This year’s seafood festival will feature renowned chef and Melbourne culinary icon- Jacques Reymond- who will once again don his apron to headline the popular regional seafood festival.
Returning after popular demand- The Apollo Bay Seafood Festival is predicting around 7,000 seafood lovers to converge on the Great Ocean Road port for this family-fun event- which includes a range of activities from- cooking demonstrations from local and celebrity chefs, live entertainment, market stalls and of course- seafood in abundance. Multiple Chef Hat recipient- Jacques Reymond- will also be treating festival attendees to a 45-minute cooking demonstration showcasing a range of fresh and locally produced ingredients.
Encouraging visitors to return to the region and support the locals-The Apollo Bay Seafood Festival-staged on the picturesque Apollo Bay foreshore –aims topromote Apollo Bay as a sustainable seafood destination, showcasing the wide range of quality local and fresh Otway produce.
Freshly caught by local fishermen, seafood lovers can expect all the best quality seafood caught and cooked straight from the region- from fresh crayfish, abalone, calamari, mussels, flake, scallops and snapper. As well as locally sourced fresh blueberries, raspberries, shitake mushrooms, olives, wines, beers, truffles, cheeses, vegetables and meat.
And thanks to the February 9, 2016 announcement by the State Government – who has awarded a grant to the Great Ocean Road Communities as part of an economic stimulus package following the Christmas 2015 bushfires. In celebration of the announcement- the festival has announced a pre-festival event – Friday Night Sea Folly– on the eve of the festival:-

Tickets to The Apollo Bay Seafood Festival will be available on the day for $5.00 per person, and $20.00 per family- where children under six years old are free.
