Tasting Cecconi's New Delicious Winter Menu
The World Loves Melbourne has always considered Cecconi's in Flinders Lane a favourite. We consider Cecconi's to be one of the finest Italian restaurants in Melbourne; featuring rustic honest cuisine with flair, excellent modern ambience, professional levels of service, and a decent wine list.
Potato and celeraic rotolo, roasted red pepper, wilted spinach, ricotta salad was a refreshing delight. Tangy but also with winter substance of the potato, this was a winning dish.
Presentation of the food on the plate at Cecconi's is exceptional.
Cured salmon caraccio, cucumber and avocado gel as well as Slow cooked octopus with grilled Cotechino sausage, sala verde and mustard fruits..
Soft pillows! Potato gnocchi, wild mushroom ragu is that winter comfort food dish you long for, and which Cecconi's is famous for.
Butternut pumpkin risotto, rosemary, crushed amaretti biscuits is a creamy delight. We enjoy risottos that are warming but not too heavy. This risotto was creamy with the indulgence of amaretti biscuits.
Roasted lamb rump with white bean puree is getting to the heart of winter fare. Cecconi's treats meat with respect and flair.
John Dory fillets, baby carrot, radish agrodolce, crisps, crustacean dressing. We also feel Cecconi's excels when it comes to seafood, and John Dory fillets is a wonderful rustic dish.
Cinnamon panna cotta! Pleasant on the eye this is Italian dessert at its best.
