Plumm Glassware Ticket To Taste at Project 49 in Collingwood
Plumm Glassware offers top notch glassware for those serious about wine. A proudly Australian company Plumm brings the best of European glassware to the table. This was a great event! The World Loves Melbourne was invited to a fabulous Plumm event at Project 49 in Collingwood where we were given glassware to experience the nuances between shape of the glass and appreciation of the wine.
Project 49 is a compelling space in Collingwood with its long frontage featuring restaurant, store and event space. A touch of class and chic in Collingwood. Check out the large windows, quality chairs and long tables, sexy floor and elegant curtains and decor.
Elegant and fashionable glassware; perfect for your wine drinking at home or for your event.
Apparently we were one of the first to experience the new Ticket to Taste event; and we advise Melbournians to book your tickets to future events. Ticket to Taste is an immersive masterclass during which you learn about different wine styles and how the wineglass used changes the flavour profile of the wine. We enjoyed the interactive dynamic and the ability to ask heaps of questions!
The presentation for this event was top notch.
Project 49 in Collingwood is the new venue from wine educator, wine maker and sommelier, Rocco Esposito (along with his Beechworth expression). Rocco (ex Vue De Monde) is a charismatic expert in all things wine and he was perfect for the occasion.
Food matches enhanced the experience. We don't want to give too much of the plot away for future participants other than to say it all makes sense when it comes to glassware shape and taste of the wine. Interestingly I fell in love with some of the Plumm glasses and have some favourites. Red A is an absolute gem of a glass, as is the funky Chardonnay glass! Not to mention the Pinot Noir friendly Red B glass.
The evening was both fun and informative and included 5 tastes from Project 49 matched to wine, along with the masterclass and a starter kit of Plumm European crystal wine glasses (yay, we were able to keep these). Thanks to Plumm, Rocco Esposito and Joanne from Under One Roof Media.
