Eat Street Melbourne Celebrating the Seasons

Eat Street 2017 is consistently one of the best events on the Melbourne calendar and one of the most significant in it's charity impact. The World Loves Melbourne was invited along and was taken on a journey through our food and beverage seasons, bringing together Melbourne’s best chefs and Australia’s top wine & beverage companies at the Sofitel Melbourne On Collins. Rooms were dedicated to Summer, Winter, Spring and Autumn.

I was able to sample sumptuous unique entrée sized signature dishes from our finest local restaurants at leisure as I enjoyed a night of entertainment and fundraising for Variety - the Children's Charity. Tangible is the community atmosphere unique to this event; such a compelling as well as chic vibe with a sense of conviviality.

So much food and wine to experience...

Calendar Cheese Company is always legendary with it's cheese offerings. Does it get any better?

While I grazed, I was entertained by  Australian Institute of Music, Phileas Fogg Trio, Samantha Murphy, Nova Star Productions and Dom Chambers all of whom donated their time for this awesome cause!

Clamms Seafood was another highlight with oysters sourced from the hotspots across Australia. Coffin Bay oysters remain my favourite. They must have gone through truckloads of oysters and one has to admire their passion for this charity.

A few of the food stalls served up tasty ribs, which was well received...

Picketts Deli was a raging success with its fab Rotisserie chicken roll, and it's pork offering sold out early.

Cumulus Inc attracted Instagrammers with its fine food and ceremonial duck.

Calamari from Cumulus Inc was highly rewarding.

I was able to spot Adam D'Sylva in this pic; Coda and Tonka have been great supporters of Eat Street Melbourne.

These Scotch Eggs from O'Connell's gastropub in South Melbourne were a huge hit, as was their black pudding offering.

Variety workers add to what is an amazing night. Variety – the Children’s Charity is a national not-for-profit organisation that is committed to empowering Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs to live, laugh and learn. Variety workers are a cheery sight on hand at the event, engaging with guests and pointing them in the right direction. Auction action is a big part of the night and some fabulous items were up for grabs. Thanks to Variety and Sofitel melbourne on Collins for such an epic night.
