Register for The Grub Take 5 Competition 2017
The Grub Take 5 competition is back for a second year at Fitzroy’s Grub Food Van. Pick up your camera, get your keyboard at the ready and RSVP to enter this competition that launches Grub’s summer menu and gives space and creativity to budding photographers and writers. Prizes are great and competition is keen.
This year, the competition is being held on Sunday, October 29 from 5.30-8pm with food writer, Hilary McNevin hosting the event.
Entrants will sample offerings from both the kitchen and bar over the afternoon and be given free rein as to where and how they photograph the dishes, drinks and venue then they are free to style and review their shots.
We ask entrants to BYO props for flat-lays or raid Grub’s box of props.
The major prize is for a Folio of 5 images, adjudicated by award-winning photographer, John Donegan. The Folio winner will receive:
•A weekend in the Grampians: a guided tour and tasting with our friends at Mount Zero Olives plus a night’s accommodation with their neighbours, The Royal Mail Hotel. This includes dinner for two at Wickens at the Royal Mail. (Valued at $850)
• A $200 Voucher from Michael’s Cameras for equipment hire. ($200)

You do not need to be a professional photographer or writer to enter. Entrants must register their interest by October 24.
Photographs entered may be taken between 5pm on October 29 and 5pm on November 3.
Images must be uploaded to Instagram by 5pm on Sunday November 3 with winners announced on Thursday November 25.
