Celebrating South Australia Dinner at Jamie's Italian Restaurant Adelaide
Celebrating South Australia! That's something we love to do! Love it all we say - Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and other cities! Adelaide has a unique classic charm with its stunning architecture, well planned streets and gardens - and also of note is its spectacular producers and fine dining restaurants! Jamie's Italian is a top notch restaurant in the heart of Adelaide, made famous by Jamie Oliver of course.
Not only is the restaurant space attractive and the food a standout, but it's exciting that Jamie's Italian has strong relationships with extraordinary South Australian producers. The event celebrated all of this and was a triumph for the Adelaide foodie scene. We were guests at the dinner; a lavish event that highly impressed.

Matt Skinner sat across from us at our table and is plugged in to global wine trends. He has great relationships with South Australian winemakers and companies and the wines we enjoyed at this dinner were world class.
Tobie Puttock is a chef with flair and we were pleasantly surprised by the number and quality of dishes - we were told it was a 3 course dinner but each course involved several dishes!
Conviviality central with members of the public as well as media enjoying the night.
Burrata was first class and the fresh seasonal tomatoes were a delight. A selection of seasonal crostini was followed by Burrata with a selection of slow roasted SA heritage tomatoes, basil oil & carta di musica.

Barossa Valley Black Angus aged rump, salt baked baby beets, wild garlic & spinach was a personal favourite. The meat was high quality but also it was cooked to perfection. Every bite was to savour, complemented wonderfully by the baby beets and wild garlic and spinach.
Dessert was stunning featuring Polenta cake with Kangaroo Island honey.
A Selection of local South Australian cheese was the perfect note on which to finish this epic meal.
