Taxi Kitchen Fabulous Beef Cheek Lunch Deal
Taxi Kitchen in Fed Square has launched a fabulous lunch deal during the week (Monday to Friday) with a first class Braised Beef Cheek and glass of wine for only $20. Also Transport Hotel has a great $15 lunch deal with stone baked pizza and a glass of wine.
The cold has kicked in quickly and Transport Hotel is serving some lunchtime solutions to warm their customers up through the wintery working weeks ahead. Monday to Friday from 11am to 3pm in Transport Bar, get cosy with a ‘stone baked pizza with toppings including tandoori chicken with spiced potato, salami and basil pesto, and ham, mushrooms and artichokes. For $15 this also includes a glass of wine, beer or soft drink.
Upstairs in Taxi Kitchen, the ultimate winter-comfort dish - braised beef cheek - is on offer Monday to Friday, from noon-2:30pm. I was able to experience this dish with exceptional dining company of Hilary McNevin and Paul Best.
Cooked in red wine and chicken stock and with a glass of red wine to match for $20, this will keep the cold at bay. And, for those heading home later in the evening, the ‘Ten O’clock Express’ is available Sunday to Thursday from 10-11pm at Transport Bar. During this hour, five taps will be half-price and include one beer, red wine, white wine, sparkling wine and a cocktail. Enjoy the winter skies and stunning views over the Yarra River, Flinders Street Station, Southbank and beyond at Transport Bar or Taxi Kitchen and stay warm this winter!
Check out the Braised Beef Cheek in the photo above; succulent melt in your mouth and seasoned perfectly. No short cuts here - this is a generous portion of beautifully cooked braised beef cheek. The perfect winter dish!
Great value for corporates or those visiting Fed Square and Taxi Kitchen! This is one of the best offers we know of in the Melbourne CBD. Taxi Kitchen is an iconic Melbourne dining experience with Head Chef Tony Twitchett in the kitchen (one of Melbourne's top chefs) and stunning views of Melbourne from the upstairs Taxi Kitchen restaurant.
Braised beef cheek at taxi Kitchen is served with a glass of wine.
Such a pleasure on a cold Melbourne day.
While we were there to experience the Braised Beef Cheek, we enjoyed some other dishes from Taxi Kitchen (not associated with the lunch special but highly recommended).
Lightly cured kingfish was a vibrant tasty entree.
Sake washed tuna was delightful. I've always loved the seafood dishes at Taxi Kitchen.
A striking dish, the Rare seared kangaroo tasted as good as it looks. Fresh exciting imaginative dining.
Being a dumpling fiend I was excited to sample the Barramundi dumplings - with a killer broth. These dumplings are up among the best in Melbourne (not kidding, as I've eaten at a stack of dumpling houses).
Finally the Crispy Szechuan Duck was a highly impressive dish. Skin super crispy and wonderful szechuan flavours. Joyful dining.
Once again, this was the lunch special at Taxi Kitchen, Braised Beef Cheek, great value and a perfect winter warmer. For those business types pressed for time, a generous one course lunch with glass of wine is definitely the way to go!
Cheers to foodie friends, especially two of Melbourne's biggest influencers, Hilary McNevin and Paul Best.
