Plumm Three Unveiled at Agostino Cellar
After 10 years in the business, renowned Australian wine glass brand, Plumm has debuted its newest range; Plumm Three. A paired back, minimal range made from ultra-fine European Crystal designed with some of the country’s best sommeliers. The World Loves Melbourne was invited to an intimate tasting and unveiling of the new range at Agostino Cellar, starting with a champagne on the rooftop at Johnny's Green Room on a fabulous Melbourne Spring evening.
We think it's great to see an Aussie and Melbourne brand taking the world by storm as world class glassware leading the way. The curation of the new range is to reflect the minimalist dining experience in restaurants and the new generation wine styles that have emerged (think crisp, clean chardonnays), pairing the glass experience back to three versatile glasses that look as good as they perform.
The way we drink wine and styles of wine we drink has changed in Australia. Plumm have designed a range that caters for changing trends to suit the evolution. Plumm still sells their Vintage Range with success for a more classic interpretation but this new range is exciting at so many levels. Having experienced tasting of wine with the new range we are fans, as are many big hitters in the industry.
Cheers celebrating Plumm Three on the Johnny's Green Room rooftop.
Champagne on the Johnny Green's rooftop before we headed down to Agostino Cellar.
Plumm’s founder and well-known Melburnian, John Valmorbida (pictured above) hosted the evening alongside world-class sommeliers Matt Dunne and Rocco Esposito. The new range was tested amongst sommeliers and tastings held in Sydney and Melbourne; with the consistency of the results an affirmation of the range. Versatility, fine crystal, style, and functionality. I enjoyed playing with the glasses in my hand; such is the style.
After a champagne taking in stunning views of Carlton and Melbourne, we went down to Agostino Cellar which is located downstairs at the Agostino restaurant. After being wowed by the beautiful bluestone walls of the cellar we enjoyed a premium event with Plumm.
Classic film clip played with playful themes; the new Plumm range taking the stress, anxiety and confusion over glassware.
Kudos to John for his vision and execution of fine glassware. As he reminded us they come from a place of involvement in the wine industry with a winery themselves.
Happy consumers.
Over the years we have loved Plumm glassware and regularly use Plumm glassware at home when drinking wine. Highly recommended.
