Iconic Saint Peter restaurant set to reopen
Good news, iconic Sydney (and world class) restaurant Saint Peter in Paddington is set to re-open on July 17. In a letter Josh Niland comments that, "The lockdown period has provided us all with new perspectives. For Julie and I, being deprived of the nightly joy that is a busy, happy restaurant prompted us to reevaluate and make changes.
Saint Peter has long been our dream restaurant. But, dreams change and they grow. For us, the best seat in any restaurant is at the counter or by the kitchen, watching the night unfold. And we’ve found a way to offer the best seat in the house for as many of our customers as possible.
Saint Peter will reopen with a long counter lined with comfortable plush stools down the centre of our dining room. This layout has long been a dream of ours, to better enable us to share our passion for Australian seafood intimately from just across the counter, curating a truly memorable experience for each of our customers.
Saint Peter will continue to work with the very best Australian fishers and local farmers, bringing our sustainable, whole - fish approach to our guests.
We look forward to serving a total of 20 guests along our new counter, so bookings are recommended. It’s ideal seating for couples, solo diners, and groups of up to four, so you can still have a conversation sitting along the counter across from the chefs. Bookings will open in July and we will be sure to confirm dates as we get closer.
We expect to open on Friday 17 July. Our at home offering will continue to be available from Fish Butchery."
