MANI IN PASTA MASTERCLASS by ICCI Melbourne
True Italian Taste Fresh Pasta Hands-On Class by @iccimelbourne was a sensational (sold out) and convivial evening, bringing the best of Italy to Melbourne. The perfect tonic in lockdown. I'm confident I can repeat the recipes we replicated, but also engaging with the Italian experts and personalities was a highlight of the event. A tip from us is that any event associated with ICCI Melbourne is always a hit. There were 3 main aspects to the masterclass.
TORTELLINI CACIO E PEPE HANDS-ON CLASS
We made fresh homemade pasta thanks to the expert guidance of Chefs Andrea Vignali and Davide Bonadiman from @al_dente_enoteca. Easy to make and the tortellini was next level. As awesome host @wendyhargreaves said these guys should have their own TV show. There was some filling left over from my piping bag which I used the next day. I remember experiencing the food of Al Dente Enoteca when it first started, and these guys are champions of Italian pasta in Melbourne. 
SICILIAN CANNOLI HANDS-ON CLASS
Another highlight was being shown how to make Sicilian Cannoli with Chef Riccardo Siligato from @foodartdistribution. Crispy cannoli with a superb filling, this was fun to make, drawing on my mixing and piping skills. Joyful cannoli was popular with my family. Once again, there was some filling left over, which I also used again the next day.
ICONIC ITALIAN SNACKS & BEVERAGES
The evening commenced with a @400gradi_au (great to have Johnny on our Zoom masterclass) focaccia and mixed olives perfectly accompanied by the iconic @sanpellegrino_official beverages and an IGP Italian red wine and Prosecco supplied by @twelvebottles (who never disappoint with their nuanced selections).
ICCI Melbourne put on a quality event once again, with a generous box of products, incredible chefs and personalities, and excellent hosting by Wendy Hargreaves.
