Red Pepper Awarded Diners' Choice Award 2021

Red Pepper Indian Restaurant was thrilled to be recently awarded an Open Table Diners' Choice Award 2021. This award demonstrates the popularity of Red Pepper as a premier Indian restaurant in the Melbourne CBD. Located in leafy Bourke St, near Parliament House, Red Pepper has become an Indian food favourite for Melbourne diners since 2006, with Chef/Owner Jagjeet Kaur at the helm. The award comes on the back of their recent Lord Mayor's Commendation recognition for dining services in the City of Melbourne. It's great to see longstanding Melbourne restaurants such as Red Pepper receiving the recognition they deserve.

The Open Table Diners' Choice Award comes from diners voting Red Pepper Indian Restaurant as one of the best restaurants in Melbourne, with the award decided each month by diners. In this way Red Pepper is grateful for the recognition from it's valued customers. Diners can book a table for Red Pepper via the Red Pepper website (walk-ins also welcome), or indeed via Open Table. Open Table is a real-time online reservation network for fine dining restaurants. It provides booking experiences for over 52,000 restaurants worldwide, as well as information about each restaurant and a rating system.

Red Pepper has been successful over the years, but continues to evolve. In recent times Red Pepper has added premium artwork to its restaurant from well-known artist Everton Silva. The restaurant has also added new cocktails to the drinks menu, as well as exciting new dishes to complement it's signature dishes; such as Butter Chicken, Goan Pork Belly Vindaloo, Rajasthani Goat Curry, Chana Masala, Kadhi Pakora, and much more. What sets Red Pepper apart is its authenticity and affordability, use of spices, extensive drinks menu, hospitality, and famous dishes that keep customers coming back year after year. In recent times Red Pepper has added an Indian beer section to its drinks menu, as well as innovative Indian themed cocktails. Lunch time offerings include popular Thalis, where you can experience several signatures in the one dish.

At the time of writing this article there is also a City of Melbourne dining voucher scheme in operation (see City of Melbourne website for details), whereby diners can enjoy 30% off their bill. We are excited to see the Melbourne CBD opening up and coming alive after lockdown.
