Margarita Month with Cointreau at Hecho En Mexico
To celebrate Australia’s love for the Margarita, iconic French Orange liqueur Cointreau has partnered with the original Hecho En Mexico in Fitzroy, Melbourne to bring Margarita lovers $15 Margaritas from the 15th February to 29th February. We attended the stunning launch event at Hecho En Mexico in Fitzroy, where Jarryd from Cointreau spoke of the history of Cointreau, and we sampled 3 stunning Cointreau infused Margaritas.
We started out with the Original Margarita with spice on the rim, then indulged in the Passionfruit Margarita with cinnamon on the rim, and finally the stunning Mango Frozen Margarita.
Back in 1948, Dallas socialite Margarita Sames created what we now know as the Margarita. Whilst vacationing in Acapulco, Margarita mixed her two favourite spirits, Cointreau and tequila, together with lime juice, giving birth to the infamous Margarita. Therefore, it is only right to celebrate 75 years of the Margarita with your very own for only $15.
From Margarita Day on the 22nd of February, Hecho en Mexico will be celebrating Margarita Day with $15 Margaritas. Available from the 15th February to 29th February, cocktail enthusiasts can enjoy $15 Classic Margaritas, Passionfruit Margaritas or Mango Margaritas across all 18 venues in Victoria.
