Valentine’s Dinner at Mazaj in Forest Hill
Some of the best Lebanese food in Melbourne is at Mazaj in Forest Hill in the east. We were invited to enjoy a Valentine’s Day Banquet at Mazaj, featuring joyous Lebanese feasting at its best, showcasing authentic flavours of the Middle East.
A shout out to Elie (Owner) and Jamal as customer service here is exceptional. You can tell this restaurant is a labor of love.
We enjoyed (David and Sam my sweet Valentine) -
✨Mixed Pickles (loved the tang)
✨Lebanese bread (super fresh)
✨Hummus Beiruti (always a highlight here)
✨Fried Eggplant with Salsa (rewarding dish)
✨ Fattoush salad (freshness and crunch)
✨Chips
✨Chicken Fajita Roll (tasty parcels)
✨Mix of Cheese and Meat Cigars (superb pastry and fillings)
✨Samke Harra (delicious spicy Barramundi in tahini on a bed of seadeh rice)
✨Chicken and Kafta Skewers (another highlight, they do great skewers here)
✨Special Dessert (4 excellent treats)
✨Dols Pinot Noir Yarra Valley (elegant and supple)
✨@smallvictorieswineco Shiraz (great Eden Valley fruit)
✨Watermelon Drink (fresh and in season)
✨Lebanese coffee (strong and unique)
This was a lot of food (yay) for our banquet and of high quality. The food is authentic, well presented, nourishing and tasty.
Mazaj has a great vibe with quality decor and also boasts a stylish outdoor lounge. They are bringing a taste of Lebanon to Melbourne with flair.
We are excited to see @mazajau is opening up in Rosanna.
