Crown Melbourne Launches Cuban Bar, Fidels
Excitingly, Crown Melbourne will open vibrant Cuban bar, Fidels, on 18 April. The venue will transform the Merrywell rooftop with lively Latin music, colourful decor and an extensive range of whiskey, and rum.
The Fidels menu consists of tapas-style South American bites and includes entrees of braised lamb empanadas, smoked gazpacho with poached tiger prawns, chicken ribs, salted cod croquettes and pork belly in a dark rum glaze; substantials of BBQ swordfish and sirloin riverina; and desserts of passion fruit flan and chocolate, pistachio cigar. Fidels will also have a $60 Feed Me Bites set menu, a $34 pre theatre menu, and a $75 bottomless menu on the weekend.
The beverage menu includes a wide selection of rum and whiskey, which are incorporated into signature cocktails, including the ‘damn fine diplomacy’ with Diplomatico Rum, Averna Amaro, Kahlua, espresso and palm sugar foam; and the ‘benevolent dictator’ with Sailor Jerry’s Spiced Rum, De Kuyper Peach Schnapps and bitters.
Fidels is perfectly placed to have a quick drink or spend the night for a fun night of music, tapas, and drinks. The lush outside terrace and vibrant colouring of the artwork, together with the Cuban DJ, will transport patrons to old Havana.
