Fiesta Malaysia - Get On It!
Fiesta Malaysia 2014, the largest Malaysian student-run event in Australia hosted by theMalaysian Students’ Council of Australia, Victoria (MASCA Victoria). In brief, FiestaMalaysia aims to showcase Malaysian cuisine sourced from the best and most authentic Malaysian restaurants in and around Melbourne.
Restaurants participating include Mamak, Nasi Lemak House, Sambal Kampung, Auto Rickshaw, Bamboe Indonesia Hawkers Food, Dean's Cafe, Ghost Kitchen, Gong Cha, Harajuku Crepes on Wheels, Helados Jauja, Laksa Bar, Leadersheep, Malaysian Hall Cafe, MiHub Cafe, Pasar Malam Australia, The Rolling Scoops, Those Girls Iced Tea, ZamZam Restaurant & Cafe, and Zero Lam...
Fiesta Malaysia has been a spectacular, proud and important part of the Melbourne culinary calendar. Exciting this year is the welcome addition of Red, Hong Yi, will be joining us at Fiesta Malaysia 2014! Many know her as the artist who ‘loves to paint, but not with a paintbrush’. She creates her art pieces as well as portraits of famous people with everyday items like a basketball, flowers, food and even with coffee stains. Her latest feat... a portrait of famous actor/ director Jackie Chan using... chopsticks!

MASCA Victoria is the peak representative body for over 8,600 Malaysian students in Victoria, Australia. Being a non-profit student-run organization, we play a national leadership role for more than 22,000 Malaysian students in Australia through our value-added, national-level events like Fiesta Malaysia,Malaysian Games and the Malaysian Aspiration Summit. Fiesta Malaysia
Fiesta Malaysia is MASCA Victoria's largest annual event. The primary purpose of organising Fiesta Malaysia is to celebrate and promote the diversity of Malaysian cultures, cuisines, tourism and history to the Australian community and the international community in Australia. We receive strong support for the Malaysia Government, the Australian Government, numerous corporate partners, ASEAN-root peak student representative bodies, university and non-university-based Malaysian Students Organisations. Fiesta Malaysia 2013 received an overwhelming response of over 18,000 visitors from different cultural background to experience a slice of Malaysia for themselves.
A little bit more about food...
Apart from the authentic and luscious Malaysian food brought to you by Melbourne's top Malaysian restaurants, we as well provide free durian tasting for all visitors! Not only that, we will be conducting a series of demonstrations and competitions in relation to Malaysian cuisine include "Teh Tarik" competition and MAMEE eating challenge.
On top of that, there will be cultural exhibitions, traditional games, live performances and much more!
