Wilson Racquet Launch with Stefan Edberg

The World Loves Melbourne was invited to the Wilson launch of its next generation BLADE and BURN racquets at The 2015 Australian Open. Wilson Sporting Goods Co. announced this week the introduction of four new racquets to its BLADE performance tennis franchise: BLADE 98 16x19, BLADE 98 18x20, BLADE 98S and BLADE 104. Prominent at the launch was legend Stefan Edberg, along with Australian players Chris Guccione and budding young star Seone Mendez.

Stefan Edberg, tennis legend and coach of Roger Federer, was on hand to demonstrate the racquets and technology, as well as participate in a Q&A. The World Loves Melbourne was impressed with the sensor technology that can be linked to your smartphone and analysed.

The racquets join one of Wilson's best-selling lines globally, and are designed specifically for big-hitting, attacking-style players seeking aggressive control. Current yop-ranked players and Wilson Advisory Staff memebrs Serena Williams, Milos Raonic, Gael Monfils, David Goffin and Madison Keys will play with the BLADE during the upcoming 2015 season.

In addition to the exciting new member of the BLADE family, Wilson has also debuted the new BURN racquet. This innovative product is built specifically for performance tennis palyers seeking a bold, sleek racquet that accelerates power from the baseline. The BURN is the first Baseliner-focussed product to emerge from the Company's new PlayerID system, whicj categorises three types of tennis playing styles:Baseliner, Attacker and All Courter. The system helps athletes better select products that speak to their playing style and enhance their overll performance on the court.
