Ch9 Postcards Goes Prime Time | Launch at Maha
Postcards is launching all new one-hour programs each Friday night with the best travel and lifestyle stories from Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and surrounding regions.
Rebecca Judd hosts alongside presenters Livinia Nixon, Lauren Phillips, Brodie Harper, Shane Crawford, Glen Moriarty, Scherri-Lee Biggs, Warren Tredrea and celebrity chef Shane Delia.
The World Loves Melbourne was invited to the Channel 9 launch at Maha Restaurant (with Shane Delia himself a presenter).
In the first Friday night episode of 2016, Rebecca Judd meets Catriona Rowntree as part of an ongoing series of stories on celebrities and their favourite places. They catch up at her historic family farm for a tour before retracing the steps of Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth in the acclaimed movie The Dressmaker, filmed in Catriona’s hometown of Little River in country Victoria.
Livinia Nixon joins the team to explore the best cooking schools, bakers and dessert makers around, in search of the perfect cake. Her first story is with baking queen Phillippa Grogan as they make a delectable raspberry and coconut cake.
Scherri-Lee Biggs tours the luxurious Como the Treasury Hotel in Perth, while Brodie Harper escapes Perth’s CBD to shop for local produce at Fremantle Markets.
Warren Tredrea shows Shane Crawford around his favourite places in his hometown, including the magnificent Adelaide Oval.
How good were those Oyster croquettes?
Lauren Phillips visits the world-first Marilyn Exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery, celebrating the famous movie star Marilyn Monroe. On display are her treasured artefacts, film costumes and items from her personal wardrobe, curated from private collections around the world.
Shane Delia begins his shop-and-cook segments with renowned chef Scott Pickett in Melbourne, while Glen Moriarty leaves the CBD to visit the Port Phillip Estate Winery in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.
Postcards encores on 9Life on Saturdays at 2.00pm and Sundays.
We were able to hear from several presenters introduced by Rebecca Judd. The meal was fine dining at it's best with Shane Delia bringing his culinary A-game.
This was a sensational evening; we look forward to Postcards on prime time Friday nights!
