Affable geezer, chef extraordinaire and creative restaurateur Chef Sean Connelly has brought smash burger heaven to Melbourne at Shush Burger Melbourne in @courtyardflagstaffgardens.
Burgers are the star of the show at this compelling secret burger bar, but steak, oysters and cocktail offerings are also showstoppers.

The Grand Master is surely one of the best burgers in Melbourne with soft potato bun, two 160g patties featuring a combination of brisket, chuck steak and dry aged victorian beef, Red Leicester cheese, pickles, white onion, and tomato ketchup.

Shush d-lux burger was also delicious and features single pattie, red leicester cheese, apple wood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion jam, pickles, mayo, bbq sauce.

We (David and Mario) also enjoyed other epic dishes such as Pork Belly Burnt Ends (love the caramelization), the new Prawn popcorn featuring southern fried prawns, prawn mayo and fries (playful and a hit), as well as sensational Oyster fritters with Carlton Draught batter (comfort food central with a luxe edge).

Service is first class and there’s a cool vibe with the chic decor, neon signage and red/orange glow from the lighting. Personally I reckon they’d also benefit from some rock culture artwork and imagery.
