Friends of Fire and Amphora at Marvel Stadium
Marvel stadium enhances its world class food and beverage offerings with the brilliant new restaurant additions of Amphora and Friends of Fire. We were invited along to a media event to experience these venues for ourselves.
After top notch cocktails (including the Elixir of Passion) at Amphora, with its classy moody fit out (modern style dining with flair), we (David and Mario) enjoyed dinner at American style steakhouse Friends of Fire (gate 3, level 1), taking in the theatrics of food cooked over flames and enjoying exceptional hospitality.
Three flame grills specialize in meat, seafood and plant based dishes.
Starters impressed such as the Lobster Roll, Smoked watermelon ceviche (vegan) and the Padron chilli, brisket and Parmesan croquettes.
Scotch fillet (grain fed) cooked over flames with a fermented green peppercorn sauce was mouthwatering and the star of the show, while the Buttermilk fried chicken with hot honey and pickles was also a showstopper.
Sides excel including the Crispy Brussels Sprouts with bacon.
Friends of Fire also excels at non meat options and has a whole plant based menu developed by icon @shannon_martinez. The Woodfired broccoli with seaweed butter and Brazil nuts was a highlight.
A crafted copper bar features beer from the tank and they have a top notch range of other beverages. Wine list is elevated including @suttongrangewinery Fairbank Syrah.
You can visit Match Day but Friends of Fire are also open to the public outside of Match Day from Tues - Sat (see details on their socials).
