Farmer’s Daughters Relaunches with New Menu & All-weather Rooftop
The all-weather Rooftop now introduces an inviting new dining area to the three-storey venue. This relaxed green oasis features plush banquette seating and a reimagined food and drink menu. The also Rooftop now welcomes bookings, accommodating both intimate and larger groups, making it an ideal spot for private and corporate events.
The wine list featuring Gippsland wines is compelling, curated by expert sommelier Matthew Jensen, and exclusively showcases selections from celebrated regional producers like William Downie, Bass Phillip, and Patrick Sullivan, alongside boutique gems such as Carrajung Estate, Fleet Wines, and Lightfoot. Delicious wines available by the glass or bottle.
The seasonal shared plates menu celebrates Gippsland’s finest produce. Current highlights include Amber Creek leg ham with Powlett Reserve feijoa and wholegrain mustard; Lakes Entrance crudo with lime, orange, smoked green chili, and coriander; Pasture-raised chicken and celeriac pie with kale and tarragon butter sauce (a personal favourite), and a 200g lamb loin with squash puree and black currant vinaigrette. Desserts like Jersey cream panna cotta with poached prune, bee pollen, and honey syrup are also crowd pleasers.
Farmer’s Daughters Executive Chef Alejandro Saravia remarks, “At Farmer’s Daughters, we’re committed to delivering an unparalleled guest experience. Our reimagined Rooftop is a vibrant and cosy wine bar, a homage to our Gippsland roots, blending rustic charm with Melbourne’s urban sophistication. Our curated collection of Gippsland wines, paired with a menu showcasing the finest local produce, tells the revision’s story.”
