Luxe Family Paddock Menu Lunch at Levantine Hill
Looking for the ultimate Yarra Valley lunch? Sam and I indulged in the luxe Levantine Hill six-course Family Paddock menu, paired with their premium wines, and took home two bottles of their finest Family Paddock wine.
Levantine Hill is a modern-day expression of the Levant, weaving together refined Mediterranean-inspired dishes and an immersive sensory experience. As you arrive, the incredible views of the estate take your breath away, and we quickly felt relaxed in such an expansive setting. Nearly all the ingredients are sourced from close by, many within a 10km radius—adding a farm-to-table freshness that's hard to beat.
The service is nothing short of exceptional; our table was served by waitstaff who have been honing their craft at Levantine for over a decade. The wine-driven menu was spectacular, with every course meticulously paired with elevated Family Paddock wines. Each dish boasted rich, bold Mediterranean flavors.
We dined in a space filled with natural light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows, making the atmosphere delightfully airy and open.
The six courses were paired with epic wines: from the vibrant 2017 Estate Sparkling Rosé paired with Oscietra caviar; the 2020 Estate Mélange Traditionnel Blanc paired with Black truffle and parmesan chickpea panisse, LH fried chicken and Tuna Cornetto; the 2018 Katherine's Paddock Chardonnay with its long luxurious finish paired with decadent Truffled goat's curd cappelletti; the elegant 2019 Colleen's Paddock Pinot Noir paired with Lamb kofta and Pepita crumbed pumpkin; the deep ruby 2018 Samantha's Paddock Mélange paired with melt in your mouth 140gm Charcoal Wagyu 9+ and bone marrow croquette; to the rich 2018 Melissa's Paddock Syrah with its complex layers paired with an indulgent date pudding. Every pairing was thoughtful, and the meal was a spectacular journey of flavors.
